Aliannah Takes Her First Steps! VIDEO

I'm a little late on writing about this but I figured I probably should considering this is a huge accomplishment for a certain adorable little girl. Last week Leah posted a video to facebook of her daughter Ali taking her first steps completely on her own!

She holds her arms out to help balance herself and takes a few steps before falling into her mother's arms. I wish the video was longer! You hear the beginning of cheers for her and even in that brief second you can really feel the excitement in Leah's voice.

The entire family was overwhelmed with joy and shared their feelings on twitter. Celebrating with the fans that have been rooting for little Ali from day one. Jeff simms, Corey's father, tweeted: "I am sitting here crying after watching a video of Aliannah taking some steps. I cannot find words to describe how I feel. #prayersanswered." and then later "Aliannah Hope Simms has worked so hard to walk, she never quit trying. The Lord answered many prayers tonight, please continue to pray for her!"

I am so happy for this little girl. Congratulations Aliannah!

  3. Does this count as first steps? I've never seen a baby take their first steps is this what it always looks like?

    2. I'm unsure what you mean when you ask if this is always what it looks like. I assume you mean with the way Ali is walking on her feet- that would be from whatever condition she's been diagnosed with. In the average case of a baby's first steps, they normally walk on their feet the way you would except. Ali's case if different because of the way her leg and foot grew and developed.

    3. If you're referring to her taking very few steps then falling into someone's arms at the end, that's also expected with first steps.
