Teen Mom Reunion Special Part 2 Recap

Teen Mom Reunion Special Part Two
"Series Finale Special"

Amber:
Amber was not there but she sent a statement for Dr. Drew to read. Amber admits to having an addiction problem and says that she wants to stop partying and be a mother because she isn't a normal 21 year old. She is a mother. (She is 22 now and is in prison where she is taking parenting classes, singing, writing, and learning to be a better person.) She goes on to warn others that having sex is not how you show a person love and to not get themselves in the situation she was in. She says that she wants to prove to everyone that she can be a better person and a good mother to her little "mini me."

Gary says that he has become a full time dad and that Amber hasn't stepped up as a mom for a long while. When Amber is sober she is nice and when she is not, Dr. Drew says, that she is probably using. He goes on to say that Leah is very smart and doing well.

Maci:
Maci talks a bit about her public speaking that she was doing around the time of the reunion. She was traveling to universities talking about her life as a teen parent. Then says that she and Kyle broke up. She says that he was cheating. The two are denying that now but she claims that he was talking to someone online and he forgot to get rid of the conversation before Maci saw it. Kyle joins the show and says that he was chatting with 3 old friends on facebook and that he was sick of all the fighting and stress of being with Maci. She says that Kyle gave up when she would have worked things out... if they ever actually sat down and talked about it.

Ryan comes out next and explains the Birthday Party incident and that they both were in the wrong. He disagrees with doing a lot of things all together but Maci really wants the family all together for some special occasions. After showing a clip of their 16 & Pregnant episode Ryan says that his actions reflected how unhappy he was with Maci.

Dalis joins the stage and says that she has mixed emotions about everything going on. Dalis brings up the text message from Panama City that Maci sent to Ryan about having a better time if Dalis wasn't there. Maci says that Ryan was texting her first basically about Dalis. It moves quickly on to Dalis accusing Maci of texting him and telling him things that people are saying about her. Which as it turns out they have already worked out. There is minimum drama between the three of them which is surprising considering how much the reunion was hyped up.

Bentley, Leah and Sophia:
Bentley shows off his awesome stitches that he had to get on his forehead that day. He smiles and snuggles up to his mom and its adorable. Sophia tells us about her new puppy. Leah of course steals the show by announcing that she is on the big screen and that her favorite movie is Teen Mom.

  1. It is not right to make celebs out of teen moms..That is a bad example for young kids these days. One of the teen moms got in trouble for drugs and is in prison now.Is that what we want our young teens to follow??

  3. If Teens have good parents It wont matter what they watch.Or better yet dont let you 16 year old watch it at all! Also I was a teen mom and wish this show was out before I got pregnant because it dose not glamorise pregnancy. You see how much they have to give up and the effects it has on the kids. I grew up thinking that as long as you graduate High School its ok to get pregnant... Of course there will be the teens who just get pregnant to be on the show but those kids were not brought up right!

  6. Sophia's teeth are a lost cause. I hope Farrah thinks it was still a good idea to jam a pacifier into her mouth rather than be a parent once the bills from the orthodontist roll in when she's older.

    1. Sophia's teeth look perfectly fine. She plans on getting her braces when she gets older anyway. She isn't your kid so don't worry about it

I'm no orthodontist but I see lots of gaps and an obvious overbite, same thing you see with the kids on Toddlers & Tiaras who use a pacifier for too long. Anyway, I knew Farrah would get her braces regardless, Farrah is all about corrective surgery and bodily alterations. Just because she isn't my kid doesn't mean I can't form an opinion. And no, I'm not losing any sleep over Sophia's teeth, but thank you for your concern.

    4. I'm a new anon but comment above me, your tone when saying "corrective surgery" and "bodily alterations" in reference to braces implies that you think orthodontic treatment is unnecessary, and something to be looked down on. You have to get your shit straight in your head if you think that. A majority of people SHOULD get braces. It has nothing to do with looking good, etc. It is a major health benefit and reduces tons of oral health risks for life. I understand that parents can do things to reduce the amount of orthodontic treatment that their children will need, but most children should get braces or orthodontic adjustments starting at age 11, and will usually end at age 13 or 14. This is coming from a forensic scientist who specializes in jaws.

    5. By the way, I had a pacifier in my mouth on and off until I was about 2.5, because I was naturally orally fixated. Once my parents finally took the pacifier away, I immediately went to biting my nails, no matter what my parents did to stop it. They tried everything but cutting off my fingers. I didn't stop. But my teeth did not end up horrible. The one gap I had was barely a gap, and I had a slight overbite. Only took two years to correct it. Pacifiers for long periods of time do NOT necessarily equal terrible teeth or horrible habits.

    6. It is an undeniable 100% fact that haveing a binky after teeth come in is awful for them. Not to mention it shows that farrah is to lazy to put her foot down and take it away. She's only making it harder for both of them. Sophia is so attached to that thing because farrah did not take it away when she should have.

    7. How could infer that I have a hatred of orthodontics? LOL! I'm a child of the 80's, that's when every kid in middle class America had braces, and I had them too. It corrected an overbite that I had inherited. No rage there.

My tone was directed more to Farrah, who, being a model herself and getting a breast augmentation as a teen, has shown that she puts priorities on looks. Her behavior shows me that she chooses not to be a responsible parent, time and time again. Of course it's easier to watch your toddler's teeth come in like a lamprey rather than endure their screeching by taking away a paci. Same way it's easier to throw a diaper onto your puppy and give it away when it becomes too much trouble.

But I digress, really, I liked wearing my headgear. It was neon pink and I would pretend I was a robot when I wore it.

    8. I hated my headgear. It was scratchy and made me drool in my sleep. I had an underbite to fix. It sucked. I didnt look like a ro it. More like the jekel from 13 ghosts. But I think the point of this is that farrahs a shity mom that will raise a spoiled child and should be responsible for anything.

  7. I expected the whole thing to be more exciting. Especially since this is the last we see unless there are 'spin-offs'. Aaaaannyywaay, Maci and Dalis have obviously established boundaries in the past. I sort of expected Dalis to be more defensive and snobby-acting, but she kept her cool and so did Maci. She didn't seem to argue much when Maci brought up the text messages, so maybe she knew it had happened. Like, whoa. Ryan looked like he wanted to be anywhere else in the entire world. Hahah.

P.S. Dalis has a LONG ASS neck.

    1. Maci actually ended up being the one to come off bitchy and then turned around and wanted to hang out with Dalis. so stupid

    2. The whole 'Let's hang out' thing was pretty ridiculous imo, but I'd say Maci was feeling a little bit insecure having talked to Kyle previously and then speaking with a seemingly happy couple who do not worry themselves as much as Maci apparently does. Ryan didn't say much or anything new, so it's not like we learned things.

  8. It did seem like Maci was still in love with Ryan - I have always argued against this point of view- but I noticed that she said she thought they (Ryan and Maci) would still be together if it wasn't for Bentley... Thing is that they were still in the honeymoon phase (only a couple of months)... I think they would have broken up - they would have fought. She is like Farrah (who views Derek as perfect)...

Maci also talked about first love...

Poor Dalis. It must be so hard to be in her shoes.
