Teen Mom 2 Season 3 Episode 2 Recap

Teen Mom 2 Season 3 Episode 2 Recap
"Keeping Hope Alive"

Chelsea:
It's Chelsea's 20th Birthday and Adam has a surprise for her. He gives her a promise ring, which he isn't even excited to give her... just kind of plops it in her lap and then lounges on the couch as she opens the gift. He says that it means he is sticking around... Chelsea swoons as usual and then has to break the news to her parents who as usual think it's a load of crap. Chelsea also quits her job in this episode because her manager hurt her feelings when she argued about her hours and pay. Bye bye tanning salon.

Kailyn:
Kail is feeling lonely in this episode after Jo's rejection, so she starts thinking about Jordan again who has been quickly waiting on the back burner for her to come around. She meets up with him to talk and they sort of get back together. He honestly seems more interested than she does. She talks a lot about her mom also, because she could really use a parent to talk to about everything going on, but her mom blocks her number.

Jenelle:
Oh Jenelle. The time has come for her drug test and she panics because she knows that she smoked week less than a week before hand. In a last attempt to try and pass she gets a drink from the tobacco store to flush out her system. Babs tells her to do whatever she needs to do but also that she needs to just stop smoking weed. As expected the drug screening doesn't go well and now has to face that she may be heading to jail. She cries about not being able to smoke weed and tells her mom the too much has happened for her to use the copping skills she learned in rehab....

Leah:
Leah still wants to work things out with Corey but he keeps saying no. The two go to mediation and agree on a schedule of who will have the girls when. Corey gets them 3 weekends out of the month, and Leah has them during the week. He tells her that he was sick of chasing her. Leah gets upset and looks through Corey's e-mails and discovers that he has been talking to other girls. Needless to say Leah is devastated by this news and confronts Corey about it being too soon. He tells her that she talks to other guys so it doesn't matter.

  1. I think I wanted to slap everyone at some point in this episode.

    1. Is that different from any other episode?

  2. It's wrong how satisfying it was to see Leah "Is the Schools Good Here" Messer get rejected by Corey. Why yes, honey. Repeatedly cheating on the father of your kids who was willing to man up and marry you might damage that bond irreparably. What a selfish little child she can be. Corey's no catch either but if nothing else, he loves those kids to death and doesn't do selfish stuff like sabotage his marriage for the sake of getting laid... though yeah, he could have saved the "ho" sentiment for when the kids were not present.

I'd almost want to share that sentiment with Kail, but really, it sucks that her family drama is so bad that she doesn't have the same support Leah does. Live and learn, kids.

    1. Coming from someone with Corey's accent, he said "Mommy is at home", not "Mommy is a hoe". :) Subtitles can also confirm it.

  3. I feel like all these four girls talk about is finding boyfriends/husbands. I wish they would just be happy with who they are with their kids!

    1. Absolutely! It's also really sad that the payment from MTV has knocked most of them off any kind of a course to cultivate a skill and become independent. I don't buy into the whole "But I was born to be a mom, I don't need a career!" mindset at that young of an age, having a kid makes your need to find a means of support double and let's face it, boyfriends/husbands can cheat, horrible accidents happen, or hearts can just change over time and then what? Not to mention that pursuing a career is so fulfilling, why not enjoy that as well as the fulfillment of having kids?

  4. Kailyn made herself look like an idiot...basically calling up Jordan just because she was lonely and because Jo rejected her. I guess we know why she moved on to that new dude so fast.

    1. agreed, it all happened wayyyy too quickly. she went from guy to guy (which is common on these shows i guess). i know it must be tough to not have your family there, but she does have friends, she didn't need a boyfriend.

  5. I heard "Mommy's at home", not a ho. I'd think MTV would for sure subtitle that if he did say it, it'd help with the drama that ultimately attracts more ratings.

  6. Corey definitely said "Mommy's at home." They seem to get along well for the girls. I can't see either of them ever trashing the other to the girls.

  7. Corey indeed said "Mommy's at home" according to the closed captioning on my TV. Anyway, I HIGHLY doubt he would look into little Ali's face and tell her that her mother is a ho. Say what you will about him, but he's a better dad than that.

  9. Kail disappointed me so much with her co-dependent attitude... You just dont get back together with your ex JUST because you're lonely, especially not because jo rejected you... i thought she was smarter than this.

it is so sad to see these teen moms being desperate about getting a new boyfriend. they should focus on their babies and studies, not getting laid and engaged...
